By melding education and representation, our community workshops and instruction groups have contributed greatly to better artist morale, skill & development......with the re-introduction of The Jane Hardy Writing Group, we are fostering another small cornerstone for a variety of local artists....
......From our beginnings a year ago, beginning with that one first artist that we encouraged to 'stay in Taos', we have grown into a grassroots organization of 30 artists--and growing--that provides the basic supports that many of our Taos artists ---and our art economy--HAVE PROVEN A NEED FOR.....

....as where many organizations hold an event and then are gone, we at sanctuary artistry are a fixed location with stable hours Thursday thru Sunday 11 to 5.......we are committed to making a difference through the arts...... 2.5% of our gift shoppe sales goes back into a variety of local charities...
....we are dedicated to creating an inclusive arts community, not just exclusivity in the arts for a select group of peoples.....
....for every artist and artisan that stops working and leaves Taos, an estimated monthly $ 3000.00 economic loss gap occurs that cannot be easily remedied...100.00 a day.....this in addition concerns tourism and other interelated businesses and families----we know that art IS necessary to the survival of a culture and community!
